Mr. Brar's principal areas of practice include labor and wage and hour law counseling and litigation. He represents employees in wage and hour and other labor law related matters in both federal and state courts, as well as in administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies. Mr. Brar represents employees in matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act, including administrative investigations into wage and hour complaints.

In addition, Mr. Brar represents individual clients in immigration matters before the administrative agencies. 

Along with practicing in state courts in Utah, he is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeal for the Tenth Circuit, and the United States District Court of Utah.

Prior to starting a law practice,  Mr. Brar practiced as a licensed professional engineer in Utah and Wyoming. 

Recent Class Action Cases

• Land et al. v. EG&G Defense Materials, Inc. -- Certain claims for pre-shift wages and overtime were settled for $4.2 million.

• Land et al. v. EG&G Defense Materials, Inc. -- Claims for unpaid wages for work during meal periods is pending before the Utah Federal District Court.

• Sweat et al. v. Battelle Memorial Institute -- The case is currently in the Utah Federal District Court. Federal Court in Utah.

Ms. Preston represents employees in matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act, including administrative investigations into wage and hour complaints.

Along with practicing in state courts in Utah, she is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeal for the Tenth Circuit, the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States District Court of Utah.
